During this series, I was pressing flowers while also printmaking at the same time. I wanted embossing and printmaking to come together as one. I love experimenting with plants to see what textures and colors I can get out of them. while these natural materials go through the press, it can be unpredictable, but I love the nature of it. The Beach #1 was the initial one, showing the bleeding that happened when going through the press with somewhat still fresh flowers. The Beach #2 turned to be the one I chose to then screenprint later from the composition and textures that came through. This one, and each press after that, are the ghosts of # 1. The last image is the screenprint of the #2, being the final image of this series.
